Before she was known as Dr. Shalondria Simpson, she was simply Shalondria — or affectionately called Twin or Pumpkin by friends and family. She grazed the halls of Texas City High School as a bright, determined student, not realizing she was already laying the foundation for a lasting legacy.
During her years at Texas City High, Shalondria was highly involved in school life and leadership. She was an active member of PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership), served her classmates as the Class Treasurer, and excelled academically, earning a place on the Dean’s List. Because of her strong grades and leadership skills, she was inducted into the Student Council. Beyond academics, she also shined in extracurricular activities, performing as a member of the Stingarette Drill Team, where she served as a proud Lieutenant Officer.
Her drive and commitment carried forward into adulthood, and in 2019, Dr. Simpson was inducted into the Texas City High School Hall of Honor, a recognition reserved for graduates whose lives reflect outstanding achievement, leadership, and service to the community. Her photo now hangs proudly in those same halls she once walked as a teenager, serving as a daily reminder to current students that they, too, can rise to excellence.
Her story encourages students to dream big, commit to service, and understand that their efforts today can one day inspire generations to come. The Hall of Honor not only celebrates her accomplishments but also stands as a symbol of what dedication, resilience, and community leadership can achieve.
